Leonardo Da Vinci is the character in a funny tale, which starts with the birth of Leonardo in the small town of Vinci in the heart of the Italian Renaissance, and ends with his death in France at the Court of King François I.
Sometimes poetic, sometimes farcical, the show explores Leonardo’s biggest creative projects, research and whims, his emotional and professional relationships…. The story evolves through a rich array of theatrical techniques and the use of handcrafted masks and sets. Playfulness and clowning reveal the humanity of this genius in his doubts, failures, success, anger, and pleasures.
“Lionardo” is in turn fascinating, fragile, funny and detestable…
